Director of Sales

About the role

Avani Singapore is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Director of Sales to shape the sales function from pre‑opening through ongoing operations. As a core member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for building the hotel's market presence and driving revenue across multiple segments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all pre‑opening sales activities, including account acquisition, market positioning, strategy development, team mobilisation, and pipeline generation.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to increase revenue and market share.
• Manage sales across Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Consortia and other key segments.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, travel partners, event planners and strategic stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Marketing and Operations to maximise commercial performance.
• Oversee sales budgets, forecasts and performance reporting.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high‑performing sales team.
• Represent the hotel at industry events, client meetings and networking opportunities.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of senior sales leadership experience in hospitality.
• Proven track record of driving hotel revenue growth and meeting sales targets.
• Strong understanding of Corporate, MICE and Leisure revenue segments.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Pre‑opening hotel experience strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of the Singapore hospitality market and its demand drivers.
• Established network of corporate, MICE and travel industry contacts is advantageous.
