Director, Oversight & Governance

About the role

The Corporate Project Management Office (CPMO) turns strategic intent into measurable outcomes across Manulife Singapore, moving from a delivery-focused approach to a value-driven mindset. The Oversight & Governance Director supports the CPMO with analytical, reporting and governance work, ensuring data integrity, compliance with delivery frameworks and insight-driven decisions through dashboards and performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, communicate and enforce business case and governance frameworks and standards
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking initiative performance, delivery metrics and benefit realization
• Run stage gate reviews, compliance checks and risk assessments, escalating only when thresholds are breached
• Analyse project and portfolio data to spot trends, risks and improvement opportunities
• Maintain CPMO documentation and templates, and conduct periodic audits against governance standards and regulatory requirements
• Support executive presentations and reports, and help modernize PMO practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance or a related field
• Preferred: certification in Project Management, Governance or Risk Management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, CGEIT)
• 5-10 years of experience in a PMO, project governance or business analysis role in a corporate or enterprise setting
• Proven experience implementing governance frameworks, running compliance reviews and stage gates, building performance dashboards, supporting executive reporting and working with cross-functional teams

Required skills

• Project and portfolio governance knowledge
• Reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Excel
• Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project and Clarity
• Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
