Director, Regulatory & Interconnect

About the role

Singtel is seeking a seasoned Director to lead regulatory and interconnect functions across its telecom, broadcast, and digital infrastructure businesses. You will act as the primary advisor on regulatory and competition policies, ensuring compliance and safeguarding the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on regulatory frameworks, policies, and requirements to business units.
• Serve as the internal regulatory point of contact, coordinating impact analysis and preparing submissions to IMDA and other government agencies.
• Monitor and analyse upcoming Singapore regulations, assess implications, and support business unit response plans.
• Develop and submit regulatory filings, engage with agencies such as IMDA, CSA, MHA, and SPF, and handle consultations, enforcement actions, and appeals.
• Oversee compliance across all business units and supervise regulatory officers.
• Interpret complex policies, negotiate compliance, and advocate Singtel’s interests across legal, technical, and commercial dimensions.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Business, Engineering, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar regulatory role within the telecom industry.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven project‑management capability and ability to meet tight deadlines.
