Director, Structuring

About the role

The Director, Structuring will lead the structuring business across corporate, investor and bank client segments, delivering tailored hedging, risk‑management, financing and yield‑enhancement solutions across rates, FX, credit and equity. The role partners with product, sales and trading teams to grow the structured credit and macro‑derivative franchise in Singapore and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow the structured credit and macro‑derivative business across corporate, investor and bank client segments in line with Standard Chartered’s regional strategy.
• Lead full deal flow – from pitch and origination through execution, documentation and ongoing monitoring – for financing transactions using both liquid and illiquid collateral.
• Collaborate with product heads, sales heads and country heads of Financial Markets to design bespoke solutions and expand product capabilities.
• Manage risk and governance processes, ensuring compliance with group policies, regulatory requirements and internal control standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in structuring, trading or solutions‑sales roles within financial markets.
• Proven ability to originate and execute complex financing and hedging transactions across rates, FX, credit and equity asset classes.
• Strong client‑focus with a track record of building and maintaining relationships with corporate, investor and banking clients.
