Dispatch Rider / Driver for Medical Sample Transport

About the role

The role involves the safe, accurate and timely transport of medical samples, specimens and reports between healthcare facilities and diagnostic laboratories. Candidates must pay close attention to detail, follow strict handling protocols and protect patient confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and deliver medical samples, specimens and other biological materials safely and efficiently.
• Maintain appropriate temperature conditions and proper storage during transport.
• Document all collections, deliveries and any transport incidents accurately.
• Plan and optimise delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
• Perform basic maintenance on transport vehicles to ensure reliability.
• Manage emergency situations and prioritise urgent deliveries as required.
• Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality guidelines and PDPA policies.
• Undertake any other ad‑hoc duties assigned.

Required profile

• Class 2B motorcycle licence (for rider) or Class 3 driver licence (for driver); preferably both.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and sample handling procedures (preferred).
• 1‑2 years experience in courier services or healthcare logistics (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
