Duty Manager – Serviced Apartments/Residences

About the role

The Duty Manager for the Serviced Apartments/Residences at Shangri‑La Singapore oversees day‑to‑day operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences and efficient team performance across the residential portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front‑office, guest service and switchboard operations, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Monitor room availability, maintenance status and staff schedules; conduct regular inspections.
• Lead daily and weekly operational meetings, communicate updates across departments and drive service recovery when needed.
• Record and act on guest preferences, collect feedback and promote customer loyalty.
• Oversee procurement, equipment inventory and collaborate with purchasing on contracts and CAPEX.
• Ensure safety and security protocols are followed, coordinate emergency response and document incidents.
• Support environmental and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing front‑office or serviced‑apartment operations within a hotel environment.
• Strong people‑management skills: ability to organise staffing, conduct performance reviews and foster a positive work culture.
• Excellent knowledge of operational systems for front office and guest services.
• Ability to handle guest requests, service recovery and maintain high service standards.
• Good understanding of safety, security and emergency procedures.
