E&I Maintenance Engineer – Chemical Manufacturing

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced E&I Maintenance Engineer to support the chemical manufacturing plant in Tuas. The role involves planning, executing, and documenting preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical and instrumentation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and coordination of preventive maintenance, including IMTE and calibration.
• Organise scheduled and ad‑hoc maintenance for building systems and utilities.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation faults.
• Diagnose basic faults in PLC‑controlled equipment, SCADA, and HMI systems.
• Assist with equipment installation, system enhancements, feasibility studies, and project planning.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors during maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
• Prepare technical documentation such as work instructions, approval forms, training material, and regulatory submissions.
• Manage spare parts procurement, inventory control, quotations, and purchase orders.
• Support EHS initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with ISO standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical & Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an electric or chemical plant environment.
• Understanding of electrical systems and instrumentation.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and HMI troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Risk Assessment and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Knowledge of EHS practices and ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 standards.
