Electrical Engineer - LTA / MRT Projects

About the role

A dynamic engineering team delivering infrastructure projects for the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and the MRT network in Singapore is hiring an Electrical Engineer. This is a contract position with a clear pathway to permanent employment after successfully completing the first year. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team across office and site, contributing to projects that shape Singapore's public transport.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering design, calculations, planning and tender preparation and evaluation as part of the project team
• Produce and maintain QA/QC documentation for all engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with current industry standards
• Liaise with clients, project managers, architects and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
• Help identify and resolve technical issues during design and construction
• Apply up-to-date technical knowledge and industry best practices to support continuous project improvement
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Project Team

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in LTA or MRT infrastructure projects; early-career candidates with strong academic backgrounds are also encouraged to apply
• Solid understanding of current industry standards and the ability to apply them on live projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
• Creative problem-solving ability and a track record of delivering solutions within project timelines
• Positive, flexible attitude, good interpersonal skills and constructive conflict management
• Commitment to delivering quality outcomes for clients
