Electrical Technician – Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our engineering team at a premier hotel in Marina Bay, Singapore. The role involves installing, testing, and maintaining a wide range of electrical and electronic systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning tools, equipment, and electrical systems.
• Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components; use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring and fixtures according to job specifications, the National Electric Code, and local regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide installations and repairs.
• Respond to repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report hazards and incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical or engineering maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools for electrical work.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and schematics.
• Experience using testing equipment: ohmmeter, voltmeter, oscilloscope.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and local electrical codes.
• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.
