Engineer, PIE PI

About the role

Micron is seeking an Engineer for the PIE PI process loop to help improve product yields and reliability. You will work across multiple functional teams, applying data‑driven methods and AI‑enabled tools to optimize fab processes and support cutting‑edge memory and storage technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi‑functional teams (PIE, Process & Equipment Engineering, WLR, TD) to enhance yields and reliability.
• Communicate module‑related issues to fab engineering and leadership.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments aimed at improving fab process, yield, and quality.
• Collect and interpret complex data to drive process optimization.
• Lead or engage cross‑area engineering teams to resolve process challenges.
• Partner with global teams to align on module topics and process projects.
• Integrate AI‑assisted tools into daily work to increase efficiency and quality.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing AI‑enabled enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate at all levels.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in the semiconductor industry and Micron’s products.
• Ability to apply digital fluency and AI literacy responsibly.
