Engineer, Road Works Consultation & Digitalisation

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is hiring an Engineer for Road Works Consultation and Digitalisation. You will join the team driving digital transformation in how road works are managed in Singapore, working at the intersection of operations and technology to shape digital solutions that improve regulatory efficiency, strengthen oversight and transform the road work ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Take an active part in the redevelopment of the PROMPT portal, a next-generation digital platform for coordinating and regulating road works, by working with operational users, technology partners and system developers to turn their needs into functional system requirements and coordinate testing and implementation.
• Support the pre-consultation process for major utility infrastructure projects to safeguard LTA's existing and future transport infrastructure.
• Contribute to reviewing and streamlining existing processes, working with other government agencies and internal LTA divisions to strengthen coordination and adopt a more integrated approach to infrastructure planning.
• Collaborate across LTA divisions, government agencies and industry partners to improve how road works are managed and how transport infrastructure is safeguarded.

Required profile

• Knowledge in Civil / Traffic / Transportation Engineering or other related fields.
• Keen interest in digital transformation, emerging technologies and using technology to improve operational processes.
• Able to understand operational challenges, identify improvement opportunities and translate users' needs into practical solutions.
• Good communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills, plus strong writing, analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in teams, highly organised, self-motivated and adaptable.
• No working experience is required; candidates may be asked to complete a medical declaration during shortlisting.
