Engineering Lead

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Lead to drive the design, build, integration and operation of production‑grade digital systems. You will work closely with product, design and business stakeholders to translate goals into reliable, secure and maintainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering workstreams and small teams while staying hands‑on.
• Define technical direction, architecture principles, coding standards and delivery practices.
• Conduct code reviews, technical spikes and troubleshooting.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, remove blockers and make pragmatic decisions under constraints.
• Ensure applications are secure‑by‑design, reliable‑by‑design and maintainable.
• Drive DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring and incident response.
• Manage technical debt, modernise legacy systems and improve maintainability.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on engineering experience designing and operating production‑grade digital systems.
• Product‑engineering mindset with experience across the full product lifecycle.
• Outcome‑oriented approach linking engineering decisions to user value and organisational goals.
• Proven technical leadership and ability to guide engineers, architects and vendors.
• Systems‑thinking ability to connect product decisions to enterprise architecture and platform strategy.
