Engineering Manager, App Ads

About the role

Google is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the App Ads team, building end‑to‑end solutions that help advertisers meet and exceed performance goals. You will work across the full technology stack, from ad‑serving optimization to sophisticated targeting and advertiser‑facing front‑end features.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for major projects spanning back‑end and front‑end components.
• Manage a team of engineers, guiding their career growth and ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate business goals into actionable plans.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of large‑scale advertising systems.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to align on shared designs, platforms, and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• 2+ years of people‑management or team‑leadership experience.
• Proven experience shipping production features.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
