About the role
Join Seagate's Sputtering group to ensure high‑performance operation of our state‑of‑the‑art magnetic media manufacturing equipment. You will lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement of tool reliability and productivity.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and product conversion of sputtering tools.
- Execute equipment troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical problems, and follow up on chronic issues.
- Lead a team of technicians to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Collaborate with equipment and process engineering on reliability and defect‑reduction projects.
- Initiate safety, productivity, and cost‑saving improvement ideas.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to stabilise and optimise the tool.
Required profile
- Positive attitude, adaptable and team‑oriented.
- Willingness to work in a clean‑room environment and on a 12‑hour night‑shift pattern.
- Mechanical engineering background or equivalent.
- Leadership capability and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Required skills
- Predictive and preventive equipment maintenance.
- Hands‑on troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues.
- Experience with PLC controls.
- Knowledge of vacuum technology.
- General equipment maintenance expertise.
