Equipment Engineer – Etch

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking an Etch Equipment Engineer to join its Singapore manufacturing site. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of dry‑etch equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Systematically troubleshoot equipment‑related problems to reduce downtime.
• Maintain optimal spares and consumables inventory for equipment maintenance.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program and troubleshooting guide.
• Implement detection and monitoring systems to prevent equipment excursions.
• Coordinate new equipment hookup, startup, and release.
• Lead Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to enhance quality and cost efficiency.
• Train and certify Assistant Maintenance Engineers and Preventive Maintenance Technicians in systematic troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Process and Production Engineers to meet key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with KLA SPTS OMEGA or AMEC TSV200 dry‑etch equipment.
• Familiarity with SPC, FDC, APC, DOE and yield analysis software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and documentation skills.
• Team‑player attitude with a high sense of responsibility.
