Equity Derivatives Operations - Associate / AVP

About the role

A Singapore MAS-licensed broker is hiring an Equity Derivatives Operations Associate / AVP, working on site in Singapore. The role covers the post-trade lifecycle of Equity Total Return Swaps (TRS) and other OTC equity derivatives, including settlement, reconciliation, client account setup and operational controls.

Key responsibilities

• Support the complete post-trade lifecycle of Equity TRS and other OTC equity derivatives, including trade booking, affirmation, amendments and lifecycle events
• Verify trade economics, financing events, dividend adjustments and corporate actions
• Resolve trade-related issues and operational exceptions with the Front Office and counterparties
• Manage daily cash and securities settlement and monitor settlement status
• Reconcile positions, cash balances and trade records daily, and investigate trade breaks and settlement discrepancies
• Prepare operational reports and manage exceptions
• Set up new client accounts and maintain static data in the Trading System after onboarding and KYC
• Configure trading parameters, settlement instructions, product permissions and account settings
• Support UAT, account maintenance and system enhancements for equity derivatives operations
• Liaise with brokers, custodians, clearing agents and liquidity providers, and coordinate with Front Office, Risk, Compliance and Operations
• Take part in the rollout and operational readiness of the equity derivatives platform, and identify efficiency improvements through automation and process enhancement
• Maintain operational procedures, control documentation and internal operating manuals

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in Middle Office, Trade Support, Settlement or Operations within a securities firm, prime broker or capital markets institution
• Experience supporting Equity TRS or other equity derivatives is preferred
• Fluent English; Mandarin preferred
• Eligible to work in Singapore

Required skills

• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle management, settlement processes, reconciliation and operational controls
• Knowledge of equity derivatives products such as Equity Total Return Swaps
