Estate Operations Director – Global Remote

About the role

We are seeking a senior operations leader to own and oversee an international residential portfolio for a high‑net‑worth principal. The role combines hands‑on property and asset management with the ability to build and lead high‑performing household teams across multiple locations, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead household teams (drivers, chefs, housemaids, maintenance crews, gardeners) – hiring, scheduling, performance management and employment decisions.
• Ensure the property portfolio operates without surprises; develop and maintain a standardized House Manual and SOP system.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, enforce cost‑discipline targets and oversee budgets.
• Design verification, reporting and escalation systems to provide full operational visibility across the remote portfolio.
• Codify a single service standard into portable processes that scale across properties, jurisdictions and staff turnover.

Required profile

• 5+ years in private residential management, luxury hospitality operations, or a comparable high‑service environment.
• Proven experience leading teams of ten or more and taking direct accountability for people operations.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve operational problems proactively.
• Experience managing multiple properties across different countries and supporting high‑net‑worth principals.
• Strong vendor management and budget discipline.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
