Executive Director

About the role

The Buddhist charitable organisation is seeking a compassionate and strategic Executive Director to lead its operations, programmes, and community impact. This senior role reports to the President and Board of Directors and requires a blend of visionary leadership and hands‑on management.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall strategy, organisational development and daily operations.
• Partner with the Board on governance, policy formulation, and short‑ and long‑term planning.
• Oversee programme delivery, service administration and ensure compliance with risk, legal, audit, safety, PDPA and fire‑safety requirements.
• Provide strong financial stewardship and ensure adherence to the Charities Act and IPC regulations.
• Build a collaborative, values‑driven culture and mentor staff and volunteers, including succession planning.
• Strengthen stakeholder engagement with donors, devotees, partners and the wider community.
• Lead fundraising initiatives, resource development and enhance the organisation’s public profile.
• Represent the Lodge at official and community platforms.

Required profile

• Degree with 10+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably in non‑profit, community, social service or faith‑based sectors.
• Strong strategic, operational, people and financial management capabilities.
• Good understanding of Singapore’s charity governance framework.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse communities.
• Passion for Buddhist values and community service.
