Executive Engineer / Senior Engineer (ACMV & BMS)

About the role

NUHS is looking for an Executive Engineer or Senior Engineer responsible for the Building Management System (BMS) and air conditioning, mechanical ventilation and refrigeration (ACMV) systems. The role covers operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading the BMS so that building systems run efficiently and reliably, and includes supporting outsourced maintenance providers and capital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, operate and maintain the BMS to ensure smooth day-to-day building operations.
• Troubleshoot system faults and equipment performance, and prepare reports on system performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency through BMS optimisation.
• Provide technical support and training for Facilities staff on BMS usage and troubleshooting.
• Assist the ACMV Trade Site Team with breakdown investigations, inspections, audits and reviews of the maintenance programme.
• Oversee specialist vendors and the FM managing agent to meet their KPIs and ensure consistent performance.
• Take part in hospital audits and support the KRC Masterplan project team on the integrated BMS and ACMV infrastructure.
• Support the Trade Lead on capital replacement projects, system upgrades and ACMV improvement projects, and coordinate and support hospital A&A works.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in BMS and/or ACMV services or facility management (minimum 10 years for diploma holders).
• Good interpersonal, analytical, communication, writing and presentation skills.
• Positive work attitude and ability to work with staff at all levels.
