Executive Manager / Senior Manager (Construction Productivity)

About the role

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) is looking for an Executive Manager / Senior Manager to lead its Construction Productivity work. The role drives design standardisation and industrialised construction to improve productivity, manufacturability and scalability across the built environment sector, working closely with public agencies and industry stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies, frameworks and initiatives to drive standardisation and adoption of Kit-of-Parts (KoP) across construction projects
• Work with developers, consultants, contractors, manufacturers and other stakeholders to create practical, manufacturable standardised solutions that enable repeatability and interoperability
• Translate KoP into a digital playbook and design tools so designers can efficiently configure and customise projects with standardised components
• Promote portfolio-level standardisation among developers and project owners to gain productivity, cost, quality and supply-chain benefits
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and international developments in modularisation, industrialised construction and advanced manufacturing

Required profile

• At least two years of experience in the built environment sector, preferably as a developer, design consultant or main contractor
• Bachelor's degree in construction, project management, architecture, engineering or another built-environment discipline
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams, with a positive, implementation-oriented mindset

Required skills

• Good understanding of building design, construction processes and/or Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA)
• Analytical, communication, writing and stakeholder-management skills
