Executive Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Sembcorp Specialised Construction is seeking an Executive Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical systems across its construction projects. The role combines technical design, compliance oversight, and project management to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the concept, detailed design, and checking of mechanical works for assigned projects.
• Ensure designs comply with local codes and authority requirements.
• Perform engineering analysis, provide technical advice, and guide junior engineers.
• Manage project planning, financials, contract administration, and key deadlines.
• Prepare tender documents, specifications, and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and external consultants.
• Mentor and develop reporting engineers and designers.
• Drive the smooth completion of projects within schedule and budget.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering accredited by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board.
• Experience in both construction management and mechanical design.
• Singapore citizenship due to project sensitivity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with engineering analysis design software.
• Experience using BIM software.
• Knowledge of CFD simulation tools.
• Familiarity with mechanical/fire engineering software.
