Facilities Engineering Director

About the role

Seagate’s Recording Media Operations is seeking a Facilities Engineering Director to lead large‑scale facilities operations across multiple Woodlands manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of mission‑critical infrastructure in a 24/7 high‑volume production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee advanced cleanroom and utility systems (HVAC, UPW, PCW, CDA, vacuum, exhaust/abatement, chilled water, high‑availability electrical).
• Drive system reliability to >99.99% uptime and implement a world‑class reliability engineering program.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Equipment teams to support process stability and yield.
• Lead incident response, crisis management, and rapid recovery for facility disruptions.
• Develop long‑term facilities master plans aligned with technology roadmaps and capacity growth.
• Manage large‑scale CAPEX programs, including brownfield expansions, modernisation, and new build‑outs.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore regulatory and EHS requirements (MOM, NEA, SCDF) and promote a zero‑incident safety culture.
• Lead energy and sustainability initiatives such as chiller optimisation, HVAC efficiency, water reuse and carbon reduction.
• Drive digital transformation of facilities using FMCS, SCADA and data‑driven decision making.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in facilities engineering within high‑tech or semiconductor‑like environments.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore regulatory and EHS standards (MOM, NEA, SCDF).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑site operations and large CAPEX projects.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing, process and equipment teams.
