Facilities Manager – Pharma & Laboratory Experience

About the role

The Facilities Manager will be based on‑site full‑time, leading a team that delivers comprehensive service solutions for a BioPharma laboratory environment. You will build strong client and stakeholder relationships, develop an annual facility plan aligned with strategic objectives, and foster a culture of safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing onsite team, ensuring morale, low attrition and professional behaviour.
• Deliver excellent customer service, maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and support client roll‑out activities.
• Manage multiple vendors, oversee procurement processes and ensure services are delivered on time and within budget.
• Administer contracts, monitor expiries, re‑procure when needed and guarantee best value for the client.
• Prepare and input budget/forecast data, monitor financial performance and ensure compliance with payable procedures.
• Implement and manage health & safety procedures in line with statutory regulations and the client’s EHS manual.
• Drive industry best‑practice operations and oversee building performance and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing soft, hard and technical services in BioPharma or laboratory facilities.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities with a focus on teamwork and performance excellence.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across all organisational levels.
• Solid understanding of procurement, contract administration and financial management within a facilities context.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
