About the role
The F&B Reservations Officer supports the Reservations Manager in overseeing all food‑and‑beverage booking activities at the Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel. The role ensures reservations are accurately recorded, follow‑up is timely, and outlet occupancy is maximised to drive revenue.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant and third‑party reservations through Sevenrooms and other platforms.
- Maintain orderly filing and timely updates of reservation correspondence.
- Monitor booking demand, trends and occupancy levels, aiming for 100 % outlet utilisation.
- Conduct upselling and minimise abandoned calls, keeping abandonment below 3 %.
- Coordinate with outlets, events team and other departments during high‑demand periods to avoid discrepancies.
- Verify group bookings, deposits and private room reservations are correctly entered.
- Handle guest complaints, conduct investigations and liaise with the Reservations Manager for resolution.
- Update promotional data across relevant departments and ensure e‑mail marketing blasts are executed.
- Support the preparation of monthly rosters and contribute to team performance targets.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak periods.
- Proactive attitude with a focus on revenue optimisation.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Sevenrooms reservation system.
- Experience using third‑party reservation platforms.
- Accurate data entry and record‑keeping abilities.
