Finance & Accounts Manager – Construction/Engineering

About the role

The Finance & Accounts Manager will partner with senior leadership to drive strategic financial planning, modelling and analysis for a construction and engineering business. This role ensures robust cash flow management, accurate reporting and compliance with statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business planning initiatives, including feasibility studies, due diligence, financial modelling and cost‑benefit assessments.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity management and funding requirements to support growth.
• Manage group financial reporting, preparation of management accounts, consolidated statements and tax matters.
• Coordinate statutory audits and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
• Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process and present financial insights to shareholders.
• Maintain internal controls, improve financial governance and streamline accounting procedures.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banks and government authorities.
• Develop and mentor the Finance & Accounts team, identifying training needs and fostering capability.

Required profile

• Degree or CA/ACCA qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in property development and construction finance.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on commercial decision support.
