Finance Business Partner - Group Functions (FP&A)

About the role

Hytech, a management consulting firm with offices in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Morocco, Cyprus and Dubai, is hiring Finance Partners for its Group Functions Finance Partnering team within Group FP&A. The group functions (Risk, Operations, Payments, Compliance, Finance and HR & Admin) employ more than 1,500 people across Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China and the Philippines. Each partner owns a portfolio of one to two functions and works directly with the function heads (based in Singapore) on budget, headcount, cost and productivity.

The role suits candidates with genuine business-partnering experience who can independently engage senior function heads; pure consolidation or accounting backgrounds are not a fit.

Key responsibilities

• Own the annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-range planning for assigned functions, tracking actuals versus budget and explaining variances and risks to function heads and Group management.
• Partner on headcount planning by team and country, including the cost impact of location mix, hiring plans and organisational changes, and build scenario models for volume growth, headcount and re-organisation decisions.
• Build a team-level view of each function's structure, scope, internal customers and cost composition.
• Work with function leadership to define workload and output measures (service metrics, service levels) and link them to financial data.
• Identify efficiency topics such as workload-to-headcount alignment, location strategy, automation and process improvement, validate them with data and drive change.
• Maintain the logic of how function costs are allocated to brands and explain allocations to brand stakeholders, supporting the evolution of the Group's allocation and service-pricing framework.
• Lead the monthly cost review, build and improve function KPIs and dashboards, and support the rollout of expense-control processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• 5+ years in FP&A, Finance Business Partnering or Business Finance; direct experience supporting operations, risk, payments, compliance or other functional/shared-services organisations preferred.
• Background in financial services, FinTech, internet platforms or large multinational shared-service environments strongly preferred.
• Fluency in English and Chinese for cross-regional collaboration and bilingual reporting.

Required skills

• Sound understanding of the cost structure and workload drivers of service organisations.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and scenario planning.
• Plus: working SQL / Power BI, and experience with cost allocation, shared-services pricing or intercompany charging.
