Finance Executive (Full Set Accounts) - Retail / Merchandise

About the role

A Singapore-based subsidiary of a Japan-headquartered group that buys and resells pre-owned luxury goods is hiring a Finance Executive to handle full set accounts. The role is based in Central (Chinatown), full-time and permanent, with working hours Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 6:00pm.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Bank Reconciliations
• Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with SFRS and internal controls
• Process supplier invoices and employee expense claims, verify supporting documents and approval workflows, and reconcile supplier statements
• Maintain payment vouchers, contracts and accounting records; record customer collections and prepare customer statements
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules, and prepare FRS 116 Right-of-Use asset schedules
• Support cash flow monitoring, treasury activities, statutory audits and audit schedules, and assist with GST, corporate tax and regulatory reporting

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with exposure to full set accounts
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Required skills

• Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Excel is an added advantage (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUM, SUMIF, SUBTOTAL, COUNT, TEXTBEFORE, TEXTAFTER, Pivot Tables)
