Finance Manager - ANRD Nutrition R&D

About the role

Abbott Nutrition's Pacific Asia R&D centre in Singapore is looking for a Finance Manager within its Financial Planning and Analysis function. The role leads the annual planning and budgeting process, owns the LBE cycle for Singapore and provides financial oversight of the R&D project portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Support annual planning and budgeting and lead the LBE cycle for Singapore, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely submission of financial deliverables.
• Take part in capacity and capital planning, including financial simulations and project feasibility studies, and coordinate with Columbus R&D Finance on forecasts.
• Work with project and work managers to keep project expense forecasts up to date in Planview and review accruals at month end.
• Oversee the Singapore R&D project portfolio, covering budget governance, resource planning, forecast reviews and funding allocation.
• Maintain controls for purchase orders, check requests, capital authorisations and cycle counts in line with Abbott policy.
• Review contracts and R&D arrangements with the Compliance Manager and support audit reporting of R&D expenses with government agencies.
• Manage the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, partner with the Business Excellence team on continuous improvement, and support internships and traineeships.
• Support payroll and headcount reporting, forecasting and month-end accruals, and consolidate affiliate site goals.

Required profile

• 8 to 10 years of experience in business partnering with strong financial understanding and modelling skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; CPA/CA qualification.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience in contract review and negotiation with vendors and service providers.
