Financial Analyst – Google Cloud JAPAC

About the role

Google Cloud is looking for a Financial Analyst to support its fast‑growing APAC business. You will partner with sales and engineering leadership, build financial models, and provide insights that guide strategic decisions across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted finance partner for APAC Sales and Customer Engineering leadership teams.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios, revenue forecasts, and cost structures.
• Track and analyze performance metrics such as topline revenue, bookings, backlog, and consumption‑based revenue recognition.
• Prepare management reports and dashboards that inform senior leadership on growth targets and financial discipline.
• Support infrastructure expansion initiatives and regional market dynamics through data‑driven recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in FP&A, management consulting, corporate strategy, or a comparable finance function.
• Experience with financial modeling and a strong analytical mindset.
• Preferred: 6+ years in a finance role within technology, SaaS, or cloud industries.
• Deep understanding of cloud‑industry metrics and APAC market dynamics.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.

Required skills

• SQL for extracting and manipulating large datasets.
• Financial modeling (e.g., Excel‑based models).
