Financial Controller for Bids and Projects

About the role

Hitachi Rail Singapore, which develops rail signalling and safety solutions, is hiring a Financial Controller for Bids and Projects in Central Singapore. The role covers project controlling, reporting, cash flow and bid cost review. It is a full-time position with no remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform project controlling activities and prepare project dashboards and other required reports.
• Conduct project reviews focused on project budgets and manage progress payment claims to customers.
• Review and validate project purchase requests and provide inputs for customer monthly progress reports.
• Manage intragroup transactions and support monthly closing activities.
• Prepare project cost and revenue profiles for multi-year budgets and forecasts.
• Apply basic knowledge of hedging, bonds and tax requirements in a project environment.
• Review cost estimates for bids.

Required profile

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in project controlling or project finance.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline preferred; educational or professional background in Finance or Accounting is required.
• Experience in the railway, construction or engineering industry is preferred.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of project-related financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, cost and revenue management, hedging, bonds and tax requirements.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
• Knowledge or experience with AI and automation tools is advantageous.
