Financial Controller - Regional Operations

About the role

Hytech, a management consulting firm with offices in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Morocco, Cyprus and more, is looking for a Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, controllership and governance across its regional operations. The role sits at the intersection of financial reporting, technical accounting and business partnership, and involves overseeing complex accounting activities, strengthening internal controls and supporting business growth across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly and annual financial close across multiple regional entities, overseeing group consolidation, statutory reporting and compliance with IFRS and local regulations
• Manage technical accounting matters, accounting policies, complex transactions and accounting position papers, and oversee intercompany accounting, reconciliations and financial governance
• Strengthen internal controls and finance governance by improving standard operating procedures, financial processes and automation and system improvements
• Partner with Treasury, Tax, Legal and regional business teams on business expansion, regulatory compliance, new entity setup, accounting standards and strategic finance initiatives
• Lead, mentor and develop the regional controllership team

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or controllership, including multi-entity or regional consolidations; Big 4 audit experience is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent
• Strong English and written and spoken Chinese

Required skills

• IFRS, group consolidation and technical accounting
• Experience preparing accounting position papers and supporting financial reporting across jurisdictions
• Experience strengthening internal controls and improving finance processes
• Leading finance teams and finance transformation, including ERP implementation or reporting automation; NetSuite or similar ERP experience is an advantage
