Financial Data Sales Associate – APAC

About the role

Databento provides a modern market‑data platform for real‑time and historical futures, options, and equities. As a Financial Data Sales Associate covering APAC, you will own the full sales cycle, bridging technical data solutions with institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical sales process, answering inquiries, delivering data samples, and resolving data‑related issues.
• Create example use‑cases in Python, C++ and/or Rust to demonstrate market‑data applications.
• Gather customer feedback, testimonials and case studies to inform product development.
• Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM records, ensuring the sales pipeline is up‑to‑date.
• Build executive relationships across the industry and stay informed on market trends and competitor activity.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing the end‑to‑end sales pipeline, including prospecting, upselling, and forecasting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with developers, quants and institutional buyers.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to automate processes in HubSpot.
• Professional, white‑glove approach to the sales cycle, recognizing when the product is or isn’t a fit.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced startup environment with limited resources.
