Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

About the role

Huawei is seeking a regional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist to support its Finance team across the Asia‑Pacific region. The role will drive budget and forecast processes, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts for income statement, operating cash‑flow and foreign‑currency‑denominated assets.
• Conduct variance analysis between budget/forecast and actual results, communicating findings and business rationale to regional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to continuously improve budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
• Liaise with the Regional Accounting Shared Service Center to supervise monthly and annual account closing.
• Collect and consolidate complex financial data into reports presented to the CFO.
• Advise on long‑term financial planning and recommend improvements for key financial indexes.
• Oversee inter‑company sales transactions and service agreements on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Monitor foreign‑currency account balances, forecast changes and support hedging management.
• Continuously enhance financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare ad‑hoc financial analyses and reports to support management decisions.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Accountant, preferably in an audit firm or the finance function of a multinational corporation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and management processes.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Python for data analysis.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools.
