Fixed Income Credit Market Analyst

About the role

IGM, a provider of corporate credit financial insight and data, is hiring a real-time Analyst/Editorial role in its APAC credit team, reporting to the Head of Credit, Asia. The position produces insightful content on tight deadlines showcasing IGM's new issue data, focusing on the primary syndicated bond market. It is a full-time position based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Reach out to practitioners to support analysis of major public investment grade deals through self-published intra-day reports (Open, Previews and Viewpoints)
• Analyse new deal performance, including investigative interviews of contacts on funding decisions, structure, trends and context
• Gather timely market talk on potential bond issuances, including price discovery and relative value (new issue concession, book evolution, distribution)
• Intelligence gathering to publish and regularly update industry-leading pipeline issuance tables
• Contribute to summary reports and help define the coverage mix with product managers
• Cover for colleagues as part of the APAC credit team and take part in product development
• Join sales and commercial calls and client visits as needed

Required profile

• At least 3 years' experience covering these markets for a prominent real-time service or industry journal, or direct fixed income credit experience through investment banking or investment management
• Background in building and maintaining contacts in fixed income markets at all levels
• Sufficient editorial and analytical skills, with confidence engaging contacts and subscribers
• Strong motivation to grow professionally and support revenue growth

Required skills

• Deep understanding of financial markets with an emphasis on fixed income credit
• Ability to calculate and verify relative value measures and author daily reports
• Data visualization with charts and tables is an advantage
• Technical savviness, using tools such as Bloomberg Professional or equivalent
