Forward Deployed Strategist

About the role

We are building the best tool for professional programmers by automating coding. As a Forward Deployed Strategist you will own our most strategic customer engagements, from the initial workshop through delivery, working closely with executive sponsors and our Forward Deployed Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customer executive sponsors to scope projects, translating ambiguous business problems into concrete, time‑boxed deliverables with clear ROI.
• Lead technical discovery and architecture reviews, surfacing integration complexity and infrastructure constraints.
• Work side‑by‑side with the FDE on the technical build, owning the configuration layer (workflows, settings, integrations, platform tooling).
• Own technical enablement and adoption: run hands‑on training, build playbooks, and coach the customer’s team until they are self‑sufficient.
• Monitor technical feasibility throughout delivery and adjust scope when constraints emerge.
• Identify and scope expansion opportunities during delivery in partnership with the account team.
• Escalate product gaps, integration friction, and recurring customer pain back to Product and Engineering.
• Build reusable playbooks to increase the capability of the broader FDE organization.
• Establish and maintain the executive relationship from kickoff through handoff, selling the vision to C‑suite stakeholders.
• Translate between business outcomes and technical implementation in both directions.

Required profile

• 6+ years in Solutions Architecture, Deployment Strategy, technical consulting, or as an Engagement Manager.
• Deep understanding of agentic coding and large language models (LLMs) sufficient to discuss production behavior with senior engineers.
• Hands‑on experience with Cursor workflows, integrations, and platform configuration; able to read Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven track record shipping AI‑native workflows beyond the prototype stage.
• Ability to quickly assess unfamiliar enterprise engineering orgs, identify high‑leverage interventions, and deliver value in weeks.
• Executive presence to own C‑suite relationships and technical credibility to earn trust with engineering leads.
• Domain experience in financial services, insurance, telecom, high‑tech, healthcare/life sciences, or semiconductor is a strong plus.
