Broadcom's Central Engineering Group is looking for energetic and passionate memory design engineers to join an elite memory team. The team develops memory compilers and custom macros across the full range of process technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze memory architectures and highlight their trade-offs
• Design and build memory or circuit blocks at gate or transistor level
• Simulate and analyze designs with transistor-level simulators
• Extract layouts and run post-layout simulations and verification
• Floorplan physical implementation and integrate leaf-cell layouts into physical macros
• Integrate characterization flows to extract timing and power, and write scripts to automate characterization, simulations and verification
• Specify and verify behavioral and physical memory models, document specifications, behavioral descriptions and timing diagrams
• Define the silicon test plan, correlate silicon to simulation data and help debug silicon issues

Required profile

• BS in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of memory compilers or custom digital circuits such as SRAMs, register files, multi-ports and ROMs
• Good understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior and device physics
• Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; motivated, self-driven and able to multi-task

Required skills

• Signal integrity, EM/IR and reliability analysis
• DFT schemes and chip-level integration
• Test setups, silicon testing and debug (a plus)
• Running simulators, writing automation scripts and being tool-savvy
