Frontend Engineer - Agentic AI Systems

About the role

NCS, an AI tech services company and subsidiary of the Singtel Group, is hiring a Frontend Software Engineer (Agentic AI Systems) in Singapore. The role builds highly interactive, user-centric interfaces for bespoke Agentic AI systems, turning complex AI logic into simple, performant visual experiences that let users collaborate with autonomous AI agents.

Key responsibilities

• Turn high-fidelity mock-ups into pixel-perfect HTML5 and CSS, and build React-based chatbot interfaces and enterprise forms handling real-time streaming data
• Implement interactive graph and tree diagrams showing agent reasoning paths, and optimise performance for state-heavy applications
• Develop Node.js middleware for sessions, proxies and data orchestration, and integrate backend services such as Spring Boot via REST APIs
• Use SSE or WebSockets to stream AI responses in real time
• Build scalable frontend architectures with Redux state management, reusable component libraries and consistent design systems
• Integrate frontend builds and automated UI testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and deploy React/Node apps in OCI-compliant containers on OpenShift/OCP
• Work with designers, backend engineers, UX designers and product owners, run code reviews and document technical specifications

Required profile

• 5+ years of frontend development experience, mainly in enterprise applications
• Self-motivated, creative problem solver with strong communication skills, able to work in hybrid or remote settings
• Preferred: frontend chatbot interfaces, Human-in-the-Loop UX, Agentic AI concepts, Design Thinking or Lean UX, micro-frontends, WCAG, Lighthouse/Web Vitals, GraphQL, PWA, OWASP, Agile/Scrum

• JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3, including Tailwind CSS
• React and Redux
• Node.js, RESTful APIs, D3.js, Server-Sent Events and WebSockets
• Jenkins, GitLab CI, containerisation (OCI) and OpenShift/OCP
