Frontend Engineer – Real-time Audio UI

About the role

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our Creation Team and help craft exceptional user experiences for music makers. You will shape technical decisions, build prototypes, and deliver user‑facing features that power real‑time audio effects.

Key responsibilities

• Build and refine UI components for real‑time audio effects, including effect chains, presets, parameter controls and Web Audio integrations.
• Collaborate with audio and backend developers to define APIs and data structures.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to create prototypes and user‑facing product features.
• Optimize existing web applications for performance and scalability on desktop and mobile browsers.
• Develop performance‑monitoring, error‑tracking, and other efficiency tools.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve the codebase through refactoring and new design patterns.

Required profile

• 1‑2+ years of experience in frontend development.
• Experience building audio‑centric web applications using the Web Audio API or highly interactive interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of browser rendering optimisation techniques.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS with a focus on accessibility.
• Hands‑on experience with Vue and familiarity with older frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery, or vanilla JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of modern UI frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte) and build tools (Vite, Rollup, Parcel).
• Good analytical, debugging and communication skills.
