Frontend Software Engineer – TikTok Shop (Southeast Asia)

About the role

Join TikTok Shop’s Southeast Asia team as a Frontend Software Engineer and help shape the next generation of e‑commerce experiences on the platform. You will work on highly scalable, secure services that power shopping, checkout, returns and merchant tools, collaborating with product, design and engineering peers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop efficient, highly scalable, and secure frontend services for TikTok Shop.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and other engineers to create innovative shopping experiences.
• Build and maintain intuitive user flows for product browsing, checkout, returns, and refunds.
• Design and implement the Shop Tab platform, providing tools for merchants to manage campaigns and gain insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong web development background with expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one major JavaScript framework such as ReactJS, AngularJS or VueJS.
• Familiarity with modern frontend architectures like Micro Frontends, BFF, Node.js build systems and asynchronous APIs.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills; experience with large‑scale website architecture is a plus.
