Full Stack Engineer - COMPASS Platform

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is recruiting a Full Stack Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to work on COMPASS, LTA's strategic analytics platform for bus operations. The role covers application development, system integration, data processing, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and platform operations, with the office at 1 Hampshire Road.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain responsive web applications and user interfaces for the COMPASS platform
• Develop backend services, APIs and microservices, and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Build reusable, maintainable and scalable components, and consume RESTful APIs with internal and external systems
• Apply frontend best practices (responsive design, accessibility, performance, cross-browser compatibility) and secure coding practices
• Perform code reviews, unit testing and integration testing, and support troubleshooting, defect resolution and production support
• Work with UI/UX designers and business users, and take part in Agile activities such as sprint planning, development, testing, deployment and maintenance

Required profile

• Experience in full-stack application development of enterprise-grade web applications
• Experience with RESTful APIs, API integration and microservices architecture
• Experience deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Understanding of secure coding and application security principles

Required skills

• Frontend: ReactJS, Angular, Vue.js or equivalent; HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Backend: Node.js, Python or Java Spring Boot
• Responsive design, accessibility, performance optimisation, component-based architecture and state management
