Full Stack Software Engineer – 1+1 Year Contract

About the role

The Singapore Global Network (SGN) is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join its digital products team. You will help build and maintain the technology platform that connects SGN’s overseas network with partner government agencies. The role combines product development, integration work and DevOps responsibilities in a fast‑moving, startup‑like environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop modern, responsive web applications using a frontend framework such as React, Vue or Angular.
• Build scalable backend services and APIs on AWS micro‑services or other SaaS platforms.
• Develop and maintain integrations between various SaaS products and internal systems using AWS services.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD for automated testing, security scanning and multi‑environment deployments.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure as code, primarily with Terraform, ensuring reproducible deployments.
• Configure and uphold security and compliance standards using AWS Cognito, WAF, Secrets Manager and external security tools.
• Conduct regular code reviews, infrastructure audits, vulnerability scanning and compliance checks.

Required profile

• 0‑5 years of software development experience with a proven ability to work independently.
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Singaporean citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Strong resourcefulness, integrity, drive and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular).
• Proficiency in a backend language such as Python, Node.js or Java.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and CRUD operations.
• API development and third‑party SaaS integration experience.
• Hands‑on experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience, preferably Terraform.
• Working knowledge of AWS services (including Cognito, WAF, Secrets Manager) and cloud architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar enterprise SaaS platforms is a plus.
