Full Stack Software Engineer (Fixed-term, 1 year)

About the role

Activate Interactive is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join its Co‑Development Business Unit on a one‑year fixed‑term contract. The role involves end‑to‑end development of scalable web applications for Singapore government agencies, covering both frontend and backend responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain responsive, accessible web applications using modern frontend frameworks.
• Build high‑performance backend services and APIs with a focus on reliability, security and observability.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure automated test coverage and resolve defects.
• Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines for seamless releases.
• Work with DevOps teams to automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring and cloud deployments.
• Apply security best practices across authentication, authorization and API protection.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to improve performance and developer productivity.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, IT or related field.
• Proven experience with Git and modern branching workflows such as GitFlow or trunk‑based development.
• Strong understanding of full‑stack development principles.
