Full Stack Software Engineer (Java)

About the role

NCS, an AI tech services company and subsidiary of the Singtel Group, is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer (Java) in Singapore. You will develop, test and maintain end-to-end application solutions across frontend and backend technologies on resource augmentation projects, working with cross-functional teams at client sites across Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse functional and technical requirements and turn them into application design and program specifications.
• Design, develop, test, enhance and maintain application modules and components to established standards.
• Build full-stack solutions with Java for the backend and modern frontend frameworks (TypeScript, JavaScript, React or Angular).
• Ensure code complies with security guidelines and best practices, and investigate errors and run tests.
• Take part in system integration and technical discussions, and collaborate with analysts, developers, testers and other stakeholders.
• Support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Prepare and maintain project and system documentation, fix bugs in production, and attend up-skilling workshops arranged by the Project Manager.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience developing and delivering application software.
• Preferred: proven experience on enterprise or government systems environments.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently and in a team, adaptable to changing requirements.

Required skills

• Backend: Java (mandatory) and Spring Boot.
• Frontend: at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, React or Angular.
• End-to-end full-stack development experience.
• Good-to-have: AI expertise, additional backend technologies, Agile or technical certifications.
