Full‑Stack Engineer – Front‑End & Back‑End Development

About the role

Join the ZAEL platform team at ST Engineering to build and enhance web applications that turn vessel data into actionable insights. You will work under senior developers, contributing to both front‑end and back‑end features in a collaborative, maritime‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive user interfaces using React, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.
• Design, implement and maintain back‑end services and APIs with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django or Flask.
• Work with PostgreSQL to store and query vessel data.
• Assist in data ingestion, processing and visualisation to support operators and fleet managers.
• Debug, troubleshoot and optimise web applications for performance and reliability.
• Maintain existing codebases, ensuring quality and compatibility as the platform scales.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, naval architects and maritime experts to translate operational needs into functional features.
• Participate in code reviews and adopt best practices for full‑stack development and agile delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of software development experience or relevant internships.
• Strong desire to learn and grow within a team‑oriented setting.
• Good communication and problem‑solving abilities.
