Fullstack Software Engineer – AI OSS Ecosystem

About the role

Databricks is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to join the AI OSS Ecosystem team in Singapore. You will help build and maintain open‑source AI/ML platforms that enable customers to train, deploy, and monitor models and generative AI agents at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement platform capabilities covering the full AI/ML lifecycle, from training to production monitoring.
• Develop integrations with major AI/ML frameworks and tools.
• Collaborate with the global AI/ML community to contribute to open‑source projects and advance AIOps.
• Ensure the latest AI/ML tooling is available to Databricks customers.
• Mentor junior engineers, guiding project planning, technical decisions, and code reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience building production systems using Python (preferred), Scala, or Java.
• Experience creating and maintaining AI/ML software tools, ideally in an open‑source environment.
• Familiarity with AI/ML and AIOps concepts such as model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Preferred: experience with agent frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, DSPy, or similar.
• Preferred: significant contributions to open‑source AI/ML projects (e.g., SparkML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow).
