Fund Accountant, Securities & Fiduciary Services Operations

About the role

DBS is hiring a Senior Associate/Associate Fund Accountant for its Securities & Fiduciary Services Operations (SFSO) and IBG Operations (IBGO) teams, reporting into the Group COO. The role sits within Group Operations, which manages most of the Bank's operational processes across its banking delivery channels. The position is based at DBS Asia Gateway, is full time and follows a regular schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver client outputs on time and accurately, in line with agreed service level standards.
• Work with maker and checker controls to ensure timely and accurate entry of activity and static data.
• Support and guide processing staff on new procedures, products and services.
• Help convert new accounts so they are set up timely, complete and accurate.
• Act as backup in processing functions, particularly corporate events and securities pricing.
• Assist in preparing financial statements in RAP7 and IFRS.
• Troubleshoot issues before contacting vendors and follow up until resolved.
• Take part in BCP procedures and tests, and in risk procedures, reporting and bank standards.
• Handle client queries within agreed service standards and assist the section head on projects that reduce operational risk.

Required profile

• Degree holder with at least 3 years of experience in a banking operations role.
• Able to work under pressure and beyond normal working hours when necessary.
• Effective verbal and written communication with product owners, external customers, counterparties and internal business units.
• Team player and leader who shows initiative and supports colleagues.
• Able to perform rotating weekday shifts.

Required skills

• General knowledge of portfolio accounting, fund accounting and registrar services.
• Knowledge of general ledger reporting and Singapore GAP/RAP7 accounting standards.
• MS Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel.
