General Assurance Data Analytics Intern (Work-Study Programme)

About the role

PwC's General Assurance practice helps organisations improve corporate reporting and comply with regulatory and contractual requirements. This internship runs from December 2026 to August 2027 and focuses on audit support and data analytics. Candidates must be Bachelor of Accountancy students in Sustainability Management and Analytics participating in the Work-Study Degree Programme at Nanyang Technological University.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the team with general assurance assignments, including analysing and organising financial data and performing simple audit procedures such as inspecting accounting records and financial documents
• Evaluate audit results, prepare audit documentation and liaise with clients for documents and requests
• Help during the financial statements review process
• Cleanse and transform data using Alteryx and SQL, and launch analyses on processes such as journal entries, payroll and procurement
• Drive report integrity and computation reviews, and carry out data quality checks and reconciliations
• Build data visualisation dashboards in Tableau or Power BI to spot trends, outliers and patterns
• Support the move toward agentic AI and generative AI data architectures (e.g. Copilot and ChatPwC)
• Present findings to internal leaders and external clients, resolve data discrepancies, and recommend process improvements
• Manage several concurrent audit support jobs within agreed timelines

Required profile

• Bachelor of Accountancy student in Sustainability Management and Analytics on the NTU Work-Study Degree Programme
• Strong technical and analytical skills, quick learner of new tools
• Highly motivated, confident and creative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Service-oriented, committed to teamwork and excellence

Required skills

• Query languages such as SQL
• Data visualisation tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense or Power BI
• Alteryx and VBA (not mandatory)
