General Manager, Southeast Asia - Consumer Goods (Mandarin Required)

About the role

A high-growth global consumer technology company, recognised as the #1 player in its category, is appointing a General Manager, Southeast Asia, reporting directly to the Founder & CEO. The role owns the full Southeast Asia P&L and end-to-end accountability for growth, profitability, market share and organisational development. It covers the entire region and includes commercialising an ecosystem of hardware, software, apps and data.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Southeast Asia P&L, including revenue, profitability, investment allocation and business performance.
• Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy to increase regional market share.
• Determine country, category, consumer and channel priorities and define go-to-market models such as D2C, marketplaces, distributors, modern trade and specialty retail.
• Drive growth across e-commerce ecosystems and marketplaces while building omnichannel capabilities.
• Lead regional brand, consumer and category strategy and identify new product launches and category expansion.
• Own senior commercial relationships with marketplaces, retailers, distributors and strategic partners.
• Build and lead a high-performing regional organisation and act as the voice of Southeast Asia to the Founder & CEO and global leadership.

Required profile

• Approximately 8-12+ years of experience in consumer goods, FMCG, consumer electronics, consumer technology, e-commerce or adjacent fields.
• Experience owning a country, regional or business-unit P&L, with a proven track record of gaining market share and building categories.
• Strong understanding of the Southeast Asian consumer landscape, ideally with multi-market experience.
• Entrepreneurial, able to move between CEO-level strategy and hands-on market execution.
• Fluency in Mandarin is required due to frequent communication with the global headquarters.
