Geotechnical Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Geotechnical Specialist to lead advanced 3D FEM analyses and provide technical solutions for complex geotechnical challenges across our coastal and reclamation projects. The role combines research, design support, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovative, data‑driven outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 3D geotechnical finite element modelling for complex soil‑structure interaction problems.
• Collaborate with design and project teams to identify technical issues and deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Support project planning by addressing geotechnical problems and proposing research‑based approaches.
• Prepare research reports and publish technical papers to enhance the department’s and company’s reputation.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research on coastal and reclamation topics.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and industry partners to define key research areas.

Required profile

• PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 10 years of professional or research experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Strong independent work ethic combined with the ability to cooperate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
