Global Product Support Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin every new semiconductor chip and advanced display. The Global Product Support Engineer will work in Singapore to develop procedures, troubleshoot new equipment, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new procedures and Best Known Methods (BKMs) for servicing new products.
• Contribute to the FMECA process and own first‑chamber build & test in the Apps lab.
• Work with Manufacturing to create final‑test procedures for new products.
• Partner with Quality & Reliability to review top field issues and lead CAPA activities.
• Conduct failure analysis and create technical product manuals, CENs, ISBs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collect qualification data, develop training packages, and train Customer Engineers, Process Engineers, and Technical Product Support staff.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in product support engineering and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Understands best practices, market competition, and how the role integrates with other functions.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and can lead small, low‑risk projects.
• Solves complex problems using analysis from multiple information sources.
• Communicates difficult information clearly and builds consensus across teams.
